About me and my practice

I work using the psychodynamic modality. I believe the relationship between the client and their counsellor is the key to success.

I start with a free assessment this consists of an initial phone call and then an online assessment of approximately 1 hour. It is my ability to help you that we are assessing. The assessment is not something that you can somehow fail. In the event that we believe that I am not the person to help you then I will help you find one of my colleagues.

Experience

I have worked with people with historical family issues, relationship problems, OCD, ADHD, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, suicidal thoughts and survivors of domestic and sexual violence. I have also worked with men within a prison.

My clients are adults of any age, sex or gender identity.

I have worked with both long term clients and also within agreed short term contracts. You can choose face to face, video or phone work - although the registry you have found me on is aimed at online video work.

Qualifications

I trained for 5 years in psychodynamic counselling gaining a BACP accredited qualification. I am a registered member of the BACP.

Initial Consultation

In our initial consultation we will talk about what brings you to counselling - and what you hope to gain from it.

Sometimes this is the first time that people have been able to talk about these things freely.

After our consultation we can take time to think if we would like to work together.

Fees

My initial call and assessment is free of charge or commitment.

There after I charge £50 per weekly 50 minute session.
